News & Notes:

Richard A. L'Heure wins drawing!

Coincidence: Second time winner of a candy bar contest

Congratulations to Richard A. L'Heure, of Butte Montana, for winning our Summer drawing for 24 candy bars of his choice. Richard chose all Coffee Crisps as his prize. His bars, which were shipped via USPS Priority Mail, were without any charge or obligation.  Anyone can have a chance to win the next drawing, either by becoming a customer or by signing up for our newsletter.

Richard made the following comments after finding out he won:  I grew up in International Falls, Minnesota just across the river from
Fort Francis Ontario. I first tasted Canadian candy (Mackintosh's Toffee)
when I went to hockey games in Fort Francis (around 6 years old). In
the late 60's, I won a radio contest sponsored by CFOB - Fort Francis
Ontanrio. I think it was a " name that song" contest. The prize was
Coffee Crisp candy bars. With this win, that means the only two
contests I have won have involved Canadian candy. My wife grew up in a
small outside Montreal. She has never really liked American candy. So
beginning in 2004, I have been buying her an assortment of Canadian
candy bars (Aeros; Coffee Crisps; Crunchies, and Candbury Caramilks) as
part of her Christmas present. Mackintosh's Toffee is my favorite, but
new crowns don't seem to like them as much. My next favorite is
Coffee Crisps.  Whenever we travel to Toronto, I will load up-- even with bars that
are sold here, like Oh Henrys. They are better from Canada. Canadian bars
just bring me back to my growing up years. I played a little hockey and
did some theater in Canada and the candy seems to keep me connected.
Thanks much for being there to help my family attend to its Canadian
sweet tooth.

Summer Full Case Specials

This Spring we are offering a special price on several of our HalfPacks: Coffee Crisp, Smarties, Aero and Caramilk.  It is just $44 for a 48-bar pack of any of those bars.
